At El/La Para TransLatinas, we envision a world where trans, intersex, and gender-diverse Latinx people are safe, celebrated, and free. We provide peer advocacy, HIV prevention, resource navigation, violence prevention, and emergency support—delivering life-affirming services with care, dignity, and purpose.
This is what collective care looks like.
This is what impact means to us.

Outreach & Advocacy
El/La’s Outreach & Advocacy Programs amplify the voices of the trans, intersex, and gender-diverse Latinx community by showing up in public spaces, engaging with elected officials, and collaborating with sister organizations and coalitions that share our commitment to justice. From policy tables to community forums, we ensure our leadership is present wherever decisions are made. We also conduct direct outreach to our community—meeting people where they are, whether in bars, on the streets, or at other organizations—offering resources, connection, and a reminder that they are not alone. Through these efforts, we advocate for visibility, inclusion, and systemic change—because our community deserves to be seen, heard, and centered.
Leadership & Professional Development
El/La’s Leadership & Professional Development Programs nurture the leadership, entrepreneurship, and workforce power of trans, intersex, and gender-diverse Latinx individuals. Through culturally rooted programs like Luchadorxs, TransLatinx Workforce, and Ms. El/La Emprendedorx, we build skills for both liberation and livelihood—supporting our community to thrive, lead, and shape their own futures. You can witness this spirit in action by watching Transcendent, our short documentary highlighting the 2024 Ms. El/La Emprendedorx program.
